   Hello, I'm a bit new at this so please be patient with me :)

   I'm trying to use snapwidget http://www.snapwidget.com to display a small instagram gallery down the right side of my blog.

   The instructions are very easy and it seems straightforward. You get the code from Snapwidget and put it in a wordpress Text Widget and that's all there is to it!

   However its not displaying the image gallery - its displaying a link.

   I have noticed that the code "changes" when I click save on the text widget (once I've copied/pasted from snap widget)

   Can anyone help!

   Yes. This is a VERY common problem.

   There are two kinds of WordPress; WP.com and WP.org. In WP.com, which we are using here, we have very tight security restrictions and cannot use javascript, iframes, or most flash code. If you try to put it in, it gets stripped out, as you saw.

   You will have to ask Snapwidget for either an HTML-only code, or you will have to create a workaround. A good way to start is to paste the code here, within Code tags, so we can look at it and offer suggestions.

   Will you also please post an active link starting with http:// for the blog you are attempting to embed this widget into? It's a photo gallery widget. If it's a Flash widget there is a workaround that can be used. That's why raincoaster asked you to post the widget code.

   Aside from that are you aware that there is a bultin Gallery function on free hosted WordPress.com blogs? An image gallery will display a set of thumbnail images attached to a particular post or page. When clicked, gallery images are displayed in a full-size carousel view. http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

   Thanks so much for your replies - someone from snap widget replied to me also and confirmed not possible on the .com site

   I think I might look into the .org and self-hosting.

   However, it IS possible to display your images in an Image widget; you just need to get them on your computer or phone first, and upload from there.
