Social media icons on blog

  1. Hello WP, would you please advise the best way to display my social media icons at the top of my blog and to have each icon open in a separate window so the reader is not navigated away from my blog. I am using Responsive theme. Can I also change the icons from greyish to colour. Thanks your help is greatly appreciated.

The blog I need help with is wealthywellbeing.com.

  2. When it comes to widgets, the About.me one has great social media button integration:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/about-me/

Once you have something like that setup, you should be able to use absolute positioning to re-position the icons somewhere else on the page if you'd like.

Whether or not links open in a new browser window or not depends on the underlying HTML code (not CSS), and WordPress.com doesn't offer the option to edit HTML like that.

  3. Hi Designsimply
Thank you so much, I have added an about.me as a widget and its perfect. My social media now opens in a separate window to my blog.
Thanks so much for your help, its greatly appreciated.
    Have a wonderful day.

  4. Perfect!
