Sole admin - cannot access the plugins page

  1. Hi all,
I am the sole administrator on my blog, but when trying to access the plugins.php page I get an error message saying:
You are logged in as "me" and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for "my blog". If you are not "me", please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are "me" and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.

I don't get it?! Did the same happen to either one of you?
    Thanks for your help

The blog I need help with is mcmademoisellelikes.com.

  2. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install plugins, upload third-party themes or edit templates or themes. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

There is no upgrade that you can purchase form WordPress.com that provides FTP access, and the ability to install plugins. To use plugins you will have to hire a web host and set up a self hosted WordPress.org install.
