Today I was experimenting with CSS code (I am considering whether to purchase the Custom upgrade) -- with interesting results in the preview! -- but I have a few questions about the capabilities of the upgrade with reference to my blog's theme, Fjords04.
My blog is http://musicuratum.wordpress.com.
Specifically, I should like to know whether it's possible with CSS to adjust the width of the theme's columns: adding say 100 pixels to the text column on the left, and 25 to each of the three side columns, preserving the current distance between them all (and increasing the width of the header accordingly).
As regards the control over the display of some kinds of text and other graphic elements, I should also like to know if with the CSS the color, spacing, etc., can be adjusted -- specifically the text giving the time and date of a blog entry, the phrase "and tagged," the horizontal lines separating one post from another. And similarly for items such as the display of sharing buttons, the like button, the text "Archive of," the "Credit" text in the lower right-hand corner.
And lastly, is there a handy template of a well-constructed CSS sheet that shows how a number of different ways of styling hyperlink text (as such and when it's hovered over, etc.) can be coded so as to apply to different categories of text on the blog?
Best regards,
Musicuratum
