Someone is trying to hack me

  1. http://akhlog.wordpress.com/2008/12/30/fun-fun-fun-and-then-onto-some-real-news/#comment-8491

Take a look at Shadow and Nekru's posts, Is it possible that your blog to be hacked and how can I prevent this?

My blog is lavawave.wordpress.com and Nekru and Shadow posted spam on my blog which I deleted but I don't want people to attack my blog, What should I do? I already banned their IP so they won't post.

  2. I don't know if Nekru can actually hack even tough all he did was photoshop(as of now)But I don't want to take any chances against real hackers tough, If he or someone does hack my blog what should I do?

  3. First off, change your password if it is something simple to remember. Make it difficult with lower and upper case characters, and numbers, etc. Make sure and write it down. Also, make sure that your email password is not something that is easy to guess.

Secondly, do not have any other admins on your blog except for you.

Thirdly, if someone were to gain access to your blog, they cannot delete you as an admin if you are the person who set up the blog. WordPress made a change a little while ago and no they would have to request that you be removed by contacting staff and staff would have to have your permission before they would delete you from the blog.

  4. Also, that screenshot they posted I don't think it's real. I mean, that's a JavaScript alert and guess what? JavaScript is not allowed here... so he could've photoshopped that.

  5. It is photoshopped but it does scare me that one day I could be hacked, I know because that blog (AKHlog) was indeed hacked once, I don't want that to happen to me.

  6. Just saw your post sacredpath and I'l take your suggestions and no I am the only guy who manages the blog.

  7. Well, Javascript exploits will not work on a WordPress.com blog, so false alarm entirely.
