Something changed in my theme :(

I have the same issue - I picked the theme without the silly flowers and I don't want them. I also notice that the sidebars do not format correctly in IE7 anymore. It did prior to the flowers reappearing. Now the font size is all screwed up.

  2. This is really annoying.. a theme with flowers rules out most male bloggers. I have been using this theme since I started at WP and now I am spending hours trying to get a new theme to work.

I think its unfair to change a theme without notification, the old theme (without flowers) meant it was applicable to both sexes, now its basically become a female theme.

  3. This thread is most enlightening. I'm starting to understand why Automattic are so frightened of installing girly themes.

  4. + 1 for removing flowers.

I chose the Neat theme without flowers and would like them removed now.

i must say i don't understand them being there because they do not match well with the default header picture

Seems that the most sensible solution is either to propose the two versions of the neat theme or eisther to scrap them, since noone seemed ever to complain for their disappearance

  5. @wank
    Indeed.

  6. I bet were those flowers attached to the vertical rules, so that instead of impending over widget contents they'd be proudly standing... then noone would complain for their appearance ;-)

  7. @wank... agreed

FWIW, I just changed to Neat. I kinda like the flowers. It's the first time I've tried a dark theme and it suits my mood right now.

  8. I'm rolling with it. They aren't flowers, they're throwing stars!

    <---see?

  9. Or if you have a blog about cars, they are bugs on the windshield. ;)

  10. What have I started? ;)

  11. I have the same problem with Neat theme. I remember that it already happened some time ago. But it was changed back then to NORMAL. I REALLY don't like these flowers, ninja stars or whatever it is. Well. It seems I have to change my theme. Bugger!

  12. +1 for removing the stars.

I have a blog about becoming a dad, and one of my arguments is that you can be masculine and a caring dad at the same time. Those flowers aren't really helping...

The basic thing is that many of us chose that theme for the way it looked (simple, no ornaments) and we have adapted everything to that theme. Suddenly it's changed, and there are actually no other themes that have the exact same features combined with a simple design.

  13. +1 for removing the flowers/stars.

I loved thi s theme. Now it has lost his nature.
Now a little particular has damaged the whole theme.
    Please turn back!
