Somthing wrong with edit page?

  1. I have two blogs and I wanted to edit one of the posts but when I clicked on edit I couldn't see the text though when I highlighted the text box the text was there. Also I could only see it as HTML not Visual. I could not shift from html to visual. I tried doing the same on the second blog I have with the same result. Any ideas to solve this.

The background and colours are also plain white not the usual light blues and greys.

The blog itself is fine as usual.

    I use Firefox 5.0.1 with a MacbookPro 10..5.8

The blog I need help with is instrumentsignpost.wordpress.com.

  2. If you are referring to the site linked to your username then it is not a free blog being free hosted by WordPress.com and we cannot help you with it at all. You need to post to the correct forum for your software and it's here > http://wordpress.ORG/support/
    read > WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org:The Differences
    http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  3. I could only see it as HTML not Visual. I could not shift from html to visual.

Please confirm that the setting is correct on this page and the visual editor is not disabled. > Users >
Visual Editor __ Disable the visual editor when writing
    click "save changes" Personal Settings

  4. oops! I'm sorry.

Please confirm that the setting is correct on this page and the visual editor is not disabled. > Users > Personal Settings
Visual Editor __ Disable the visual editor when writing
    click "save changes"

  5. I did that and at least I can see the html now. I do however usually write in the visual mode and when I reverted and re-enabled the visual mode feature I was back to square one. Any ideas....it could be of course that when I get back tomorrow morning it will be ok again.

BTW I tried it in Safari and I didn't have the problem at all. Strange!

Good night and thanks for your help!

  6. This sounds like it could be a browser issue. All I can suggest is this > http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

  7. I was beginning to suspect that myself. I had a look at the page you recommended and then I cleared my cache AND cookies (It says not recoverable which always alarms me - but I did it). I just tried it now and I'm back to normal using Firefox.

While I had the problem I also noticed that the Stats bar graphs would not come up at all either.

But now everything looks hunky dory.

Thanks a million for your help

    Eoin

  8. I'm so glad to hear you resolved this. You're most welcome. :)
