Space upgrade + sound bites

    I want to start a blogseries on a filmcomposer, and upload soundbites to illustrate (audionate?) his various techniques and styles and genres. I know I need an upgrade for that, and I saw the various GB's and prices. But what GB category do I choose? How much would I need extra? OK, it depends on how many soundbites I want to upload, but that's hard to say. Fifty at the most, I think. But knowing myself so well...

    A second question that may make the first one unnecessary: I have no idea if soundbites can be constructed by copying CD tracks via the CDROM player into a file, or that specifically the MP3 technique is needed (a device I don't own). I did some research, but found nothing that serves my case.

    We need the complete URL starting with http:// for the blog in question in order to provide correct answers to the questions you ask. Id this the blog in question or not? http://bloggwonder.wordpress.com/

    If it is please consider linking it to your username. Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes. Then Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it.

    O, wait, I see what it's about...

    In various posts of mine in the past I was told this over and over again. 'Link your username.'
    Timethief, either wordpress helps me to correct this hitch, or wordpress stops nagging about something that I simply CAN NOT correct. I asked advice in this matter often enough, and I never got a reaction.

    The test was about the name linking. In Dashboard - Account Details I removed the slash at the end of the URL, but nothing happened, so I put it back...

    Just so you know, had the link worked, you would not have needed to post a "test". It would have been effective immediately for all your previous posts.

    As for your original questions,
    a) you don't need the space upgrade: you can upload your files to Fileden or any other free file hosting site that gives direct URLs;
    b) the files have to be mp3s.

    I've send a mail to Support. I should have done that right away, I guess. Instead of giving timethief the boogyman treatment.

    @panaghiotisadam,

    a) That's a good idea.
    b) That's not a good idea. It means I have to buy the bluddy thing first. I'm old fashioned, I just gotten used to compact discs and them players...

    I'm also beginning to worry about music rights. I mean, its not Big Bucks music I want to feature, but seeing the fracas going on about YouTubes...

    Anyway, I've got something to think about, thanks for the support.

    Re b, you don't have to buy anything: you can convert CD tracks to mp3s via iTunes or other applications you can download.
