Spacing between Tweets

  1. I'm sure this should be quite simple, but I can't figure it out! I am using a standard wordpress blog, and use the Twenty Ten theme. I have very limited coding knowledge, but can just about edit code that is already written to personalise my blog.
    The only part of my blog that I would like to edit, is the Twitter widget. I have started tweeting much more recently, and it is now a major way for me to update my blog. Two things, is there a way I can make the widget area a little wider? Maybe 50% wider? And can I have a space between each tweet? Possibly with a dotted line separating the tweets to make them easier to read?
    The only code I can edit is the CSS, so I'm not even sure I will have access to the code that needs to be changed. I would very much appreciate any help!!

    Thanks

    The blog I need help with is richardhounslow.co.uk.

  2. I'm not clear on whether or not CSS editing can be used to edit the Twitter widget. I have flagged this thread so it gets moved to the CSS Forum where you can get answers to your questions on Monday. Staff are providing CSS support and this is the notice at the support link:

    Support will be closed over the weekend. We will reopen on Monday morning, March 19th.

  3. To make the Twitter widget just a little wider, you could remove the bullet points and left margin. Here is a CSS example that will do that as well as add spacing and a dotted line below each tweet in the Twenty Ten theme:

    #main .widget-area ul.tweets {
    margin-left: 0;
    padding-bottom: 1em;
    }

    .tweets li {
    padding: .5em 0;
    border-bottom: 1px dotted #ddd;
    list-style-type: none;
    }
