i went to this site and there is what i would call a spam advert, and you are a winner claim your prize, i am getting a bad warning about it.

If you feel an ad is inappropriate please take a screenshot of it and send it to Staff by emailing support@wordpress.com or upload it into your Media Library and contact Staff and let them know it’s there for them to view.

You don't see any ads because you're signed in. Sign out, clear browser cache and cookies and look again. It's possible the ad is gone now because it was reported.

To support the service (and keep free features free), we sometimes run advertisements, and the agreement for this has been in our terms of service since 2006.

As timethief mentioned above, if you see an ad with mature subject matter, please send a screenshot to support@wordpress.com so we can report it to our ad provider.

I'm not sure what you mean. Where did you see spam on your blog? If you're referring to this thread, the OP was just referring to one of our ads which was rather spammy in nature. We'll have it removed ASAP.
@macmanx I haven't seen the spam. The OP did. I was just curious if this spammy ad was in due to the fact that I rarely clean out my browser cache.
Im still learning the ropes here, and I don't want to do anything wrong. Still trying to understand spam and spammers and what not.

No, it has nothing to do with your cache.
As mentioned above, we sometimes run ads to cover the bills. In this case, the OP noticed that one of our ads was rather spammy and reported it so that we could take action.

Jennifer, its still there but it is safe it will not cause a virus or anything and its not a spammer, if you click it, it will put something small into your pc which will cause pop-ups and maybe slow your PC, they are just a bloody nuisance.

Sadly I don't think the ad in question is anything out of the ordinary for wordpress.com nowadays. It's always worth reporting them just so they're aware that not everyone is OK with them, and to try and put them off showing even more, but these kind of ads have been appearing for months now with no real sign of their incidence decreasing.
When I run into one of those "you win click here" pieces of crap I never go back to that web site - so James - your new ad system is going to depress visitors to sites on WordPress.COM
@ auxclass, it would not put me off going to the site its not there fault, its just that someone might click it and wonder whats wrong with their pc.

auxclass, we don't plan to run ads like that, and we appreciate reports if they ever sneak through.

@dribblingpensioner - does not matter how an ad got on a site - there are certain types of behavior that I just will not tolerate
