The spam filter, even when set at 99999 links, will always consider new comments spam. There is nothing on the moderation list or blacklist either. Is the spam filter faulty or am I doing something wrong?

@wowaname that's because the comments you've been approving are spam.
Several link to a cigarette sales site. One links to a bogus anti-virus site that's probably malware, one links to a bathtub sales site, and the one with the German name is a fake blog that sells diet pills.
Not one of them was posted by an actual person. Sorry to tell you, but the only real comments on your blog are the ones you've posted yourself.
If Akismet puts something in your spam folder, there's almost always a good reason.
