Spam keeps getting through my filters, some of it looks like it's from Word Pres

  1. At least two or three times a week, I will get a spam with the message below. THe name of the author is always different but always makes it seem as if it's from Word Press. I have no idea whatsoever what the author is selling or what in the heck he or she is saying, but the sound of it means they want me to click on something...which means it's phishing or a hacker.

In addition, even though I have the word 'cialis' and 'viagra' blacklisted, I still get six or seven spams for it on a weekly basis.

Please tell me how to make it so that these things don't even get to my spam list.

I am pasting the psuedo Word Press contact below. Please tell me, is this thing legitimately from Word Press, and if so, why is Word Press sending it to me?

Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That’s right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. Seo Plugin

I would like to block this entire chain of spam

  2. Well, put "On-Page SEO" into your comment blacklist box and you'll never see it again.

  3. By posting that spam here you furthered the spammer's intent - you advertised it and that's exactly what the spammer wants.

The vast and overwhelming majority of "information" on the internet is spam. Over 80% of all so-called comments submitted to .wordpress.com blogs every day is spam. Akismet is a very good spam filter. Mark spam as spam - never delete it and get on with your blogging.

I would like to block this entire chain of spam

Use the comment blacklist > http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/

Please take the time to read "5 things every blogger should know about spam" on this page Akismet: How it works

  4. It's a scam and spam and is not from WordPress.COM - just clear the spam box - if something like that gets past Akismet then mark it as Spam and that will teach Akismet to send it to the Spam box

  5. Thank you, auxclass, for making it clear to me about the scam. I thought it was, too. TimeThief, don't be so quick to flame me. How else am I to describe the scam spam than the way I did it? Can you explain it without having to copy and paste it? I can't.
