   It's still in my general settings. But I switched my header image to a home-made one which contains the title of my site. So, that part of the text I don't need. But I would like to see the tagline showing again...since I understand now that keywords in the tag line help people find our blogs. I could edit my header and put the tagline into the image. But that won't help the search engines...

   So is there any way to hide a blog title but keep the tagline showing?

   No I'm sorry there isn't as there is only one selector that includes both the Blog Title and optional Tagline here > Appearance > Header
   Header Text
   _ Show header text with your image.
