SSL certificate expired

  1. Just noticed that the SSL certificate used for WordPress.com expires on the 23rd of February this year. At the time of posting, it's the 24th in Australia at the moment, so I'm getting big fat errors whenever I try to access WP.com via HTTPS.

  2. It was renewed and should be all set now.

  3. My visitors still complain that they get a SSL certificate error when accessing my blog. The SSL certificate has expired in Feb 23 this year.

  4. I don't understand WP. I fear that all these issues such certificate problems, domain problems, Askimet problems etc. can get picked up by some of those tech magazines. Who needs bad press?

  5. This is true. Staff have said that there is no security risk in those expired certificates, but if it's a nuisance for your readers it's a problem for WordPress.com, I would certainly think.

  6. Readers stay away from a blog that Google or others warn against. The tech boys in staff are very wrong if the regard this as just some inferior bureaucratic or administrative issue...

  7. I found these warnings when I googled for a WP blog. It was in connection to a forum question in here. The giant warning from Google is in Danish but you can guess what is says:
