I am having a question about this StatCounter: how come someone visits the site on 5,6,7 and 8 February from the same computer and the counter shows me 0 returning visits? how is that possible? :(.. I think i am fed up with all the counters. None is for wordpress users !
The blog I need help with is archidrawing.wordpress.com.
If you require support for a thirdd party vistor tracking program then you go to the site that supplied the code and ask for it. Asking here will not provide you with an answer to a Statcounter question.

Sitemeter, Statcounter, wordpress stats and all the others will never agree. Each one of them decides how and what they will count as a hit. Some count page views and some count unique visitors. Therefore, use any of the stats counters only as a general guide to hits.Understand that an application that is not running on the same servers your blog is on is going to be susceptible to wild fluctuations. This is because all hits have to be transferred over the internet to different servers, and there are literally thousands of things that can go wrong between the server your blog is on and the server at the stats place.
Also be aware of the possibility that the software or hardware at the stats place may be broken and not recording, or counting things as intended.

We have reached a dead end here. If I were you rather than focusing on stats I would focus on content creation and promotion.
When I had my site with a .ORG install - three counters all on the same server as my site and they NEVER matched each other - go figure - the important thing is not the count but the trend over several days or even weeks - (that's if you are counting - I have some friends that have sites and maybe look at the stats when they make a post.
I have to say, the stats counter that comes with WordPress is quite adequate. It has total page views, most popular pages, where my visitors are coming from, and occasionally some non-frosted cherry pop tarts.

I have tested what's available to us and I'm happy with the wordpress.com inhouse stats program too.
archi - are you the person who has visited the site on 5, 6, 7 and 8 feb on your computer? if so, (which is kind of what it sounds like you're saying) then it doesn't count your page views. even if you log out and then look at your blog.
