   Hi,

   Just wondering if anyone can help me with a tricky problem.

   I'm trying to create a bit of a splash / static page for when visitors first arrive at my wordpress blog. Ideally, I'd like it to be a large background image with only the navigation bar - no other post or page over the image.

   I've gotten very close - but can't seem to stop wordpress from automatically putting some kind of page (or post) over the image. Even an empty page with no posts still makes a small box overtop of the background image.

   Any ideas?
