Is anyone else finding that the "static.ak.fbcdn.net" seems to take a long time to load? My blog wasn't loading fully (though the entire page was there and appeared fully functional, the tab would always show the little loading icon and firefox's new status thingy (that replaced the status bar) shows "static.ak.fbcdn.net" for a very long time.
I'd noticed that the google plus-one seemed to take a long time to load onto the page, so I removed that from the sharing options, but the "static.ak.fbcdn.net" is still holding up the page. I am aware that I'm on a somewhat slow wireless connection where I am at the moment, but other pages around the web load fine.
Is the "fb" indicative that it's a facebook connection? And if it is, would removing the FB sharing button be enough, or is this associated with the new sign-in for comments, and so removing the FB option for sharing would be pointless?
Thanks!
