The result of the statistics of the 28.02.2013 give 392 views and 4 visitors.
Can you explain me how is this possible? Thank you very much of your collaboration

The blog I need help with is bodhisattva4you.wordpress.com.

  2. If you drill further down into the stats for that date, it looks like 385 views came from Yahoo Image Search searching for "chat miroir". By searching on Yahoo Image Search, any images viewed that are linked to a post of yours would count as a view, but unless they click through to visit your blog, it would not show up as a visit in your stats.

On that particular post, the photo of the kitten looking at its reflection is titled "chat miroir", which would explain the jump in views on that date.

I hope that clarifies things. Let me know if you have any other questions.

  3. Hi there,

Image searches work in some very peculiar ways. Some of them (like Google Image Search) have taken pains to make sure that when an image from someone's site is searched for, those results do not create traffic for the person's website. Others have not taken the same steps, and so you can end up with spikes like these.

You can have your stats reporting views (because images on your site were viewed quite a lot) but very few people actually clicked through to your site.

You can review this yourself in your stats! If you go to your site's Dashboard and then click on Site Stats, under "Search Engine Terms," click on "Summaries." You can review for various time periods what terms were searched for recently which sent traffic to your site.

let me know if you have other questions!
