Stats graph not working properly.

  1. So my stats graph (not the one on the admin-bar) doesn't display any stats since the 27th of March. Any ideas what's wrong?

I'm using https and all that btw.

The blog I need help with is theskeletonjournal.wordpress.com.

  2. That's very strange. Stats are available by clicking on the lttle sparkline in the admin bar at the top. Are you aware of this as well? Your Stats Have a New Home

  3. Can you access your stats using these links:
    https://wordpress.com/my-stats/
    http://m.wordpress.com

  4. It's exactly that graph that doesn't work.

  5. I have flagged this thread for Staff attention. If you are referring to a different blog than the one linked to your username, please provide a link to the blog that you are experiencing this issue on.

  6. It's the one linked to my username. Thanks!

  7. Will you also try these troubleshooting techniques?
clearing your browser cache and cookies > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
updating the browser to the latest stable vesrion (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/
confirming third party cookies is enabled http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61416
    confirming JavaScript is enabled http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654
resetting your router and modem, rebooting your computer and logging in again
    trying another browser

  8. So I went through all the steps and everything is as is should be: cache is clear, I have the latest stable version of chrome, java and third party cookies are enabled and reboot (browser/router) is also a go. Nothing has worked.

The curious thing is that safari displays the stats graph correctly.

Hey! I have the same problem. I used to have Firefox (with no problem of this kind) and now I use Chrome. Maeby it´s a problem with Chrome?
Let me know if you solve it. Thanks!

  10. Please try disabling all extensions or add-ons in your browser. If that resolves the issue, try re-enabling each one individually until you find the cause.

  11. I´ve installed Chrome today, so I don´t have any add-on or extension yet... :(

  12. @ macmanx I tried every possible combination and nothing works. Though that's not hard as I only have two extensions installed: Reddit enhancement suite and Readability.

  13. My stats are not mine. Some chinese guy called fufuchen. And when I go to sign in in the ordinary manner I cant it just stays at the password screen. The only way I can get in is by finding my name on google and getting to my blg that way. Any ideas?

  14. Which version of Chrome are you folks running?

richardpmurfin, that's definitely a separate issue. Would you please start your own support thread?

  15. I'm using Chrome 18.

  16. I'm using a mac though. My current version should then be 18.0.1025.151.

  17. Hm, an issue with SSL could definitely be it.

Please follow this guide to make sure you're running the latest version (the auto-updater isn't always timely): http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95414

  18. Done and done and nothing improved.

  19. Do you have any luck in a different browser, like Firefox?

    http://browsehappy.com/

  20. Yup and safari and they both display the graph properly. But honestly I'd like to keep using Chrome if possible.

The same for me. I have the latest version too..

    @timethief I took a look and I didn´t understand :(

  22. I haven't got a bar graph either and haven't had one since i started this blog last week.

How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems.

Are you using the http:// login? Or are you using the https:// log-in?
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

Exactly which browser and version of it are you using. If you don’t know click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/

These are the troubleshooting steps we take whenever any issues like this arise:
clearing your browser cache and cookies > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
updating the browser to the latest stable version (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/
confirming third party cookies is enabled http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61416
    confirming JavaScript is enabled http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654
resetting your router and modem and rebooting your computer
then logging in using the secure https:// log-in see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
    trying another browser

  24. @timethief i've gone through all those links and i am already using https. I'm going to log out, change browser and see if it's a problem with Chrome (which is what i'm using).

  25. Oh well that solved that little problem for me! I switched to IE9 and i now have a bar graph. It's a shame though because Chrome works better in other ways with WordPress than IE does. Is there a solution for the Chrome problem?

  26. @overbyhere
It's good to know you are able to read your stats now. If there was a solution to the Chome problem macmanx (Staff) would have shared it. I posted a link above to the known issues with Chrome. Frankly, as fast as it was it vexed me so much that I ditched it. Firefox is more reliable and a browser is just a tool. I don't get caught up in any brand loyalty when it comes to browsers or indeed anything else. I use what works.

  27. OK thanks timethief. I can always switch back and forth, or maybe i'll try Firefox, it's not a big problem, and at least i have a bar graph with IE. Thanks for all the information and links, they were a great help.

  28. Yes, we can use multiple browsers and switch back and forth. You're welcome and best wishes for trouble-free blogging! :)

  29. Thanks timethief for your help. I appreciate it :)
