Stats Old Blog To New One

  1. Is there any way to import my stats from my blog to a new self-hosted blog? (I'm in the process of switching to self-hosted). I want the hits from my old one to be there on my new one, it'll make the new one seem more popular.

  2. Well, when you get an independent blog there are no stats plugins so you can just choose one that allows you to start at an arbitrary number. You won't get ALL the information to carry over, just the total hits.

  3. Well I really just want it so that if someone comes to my new blog it says there are 1500 hits and not just like 40. It's leaves a better impression. Also, how do you install widgets? I installed them in the plugins/widgets folder but now what do I do?

Please post the URL for the blog you are referring to starting with http://

We need you to post it every time you post a thread. Alternatively, you can link your username to your blog. It’s very easy to do. Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard –> Users –> Your Profile. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ and fill in the address of your blog and then click ‘Update Profile‘.

  5. If you are asking about your externally hosted blog, you need to ask in WordPress.ORG, because we don't have those answers.

  6. Why do you need the link?

The widgets that come with the wordpress.org install are all you get. The third party widgets that are specially made for wordpress.com blogs aren't in the software you get from wordpress.org.

Also note that we can't answer your wordpress.org questions here. You must go here to get answers about your wordpress install > http://wordpress.org/support/
