If someone cites an article but incorrectly links to the blog home page (instead of the specific article), how does that page view appear in the stats ?

stats on home page
Well, it would be a page view on your graph. If they click thru into the post, then you would get credit for it.
*chuckle* I do hope you've written a post saying where to go for the Post. :)
Thanks drmike. That is crystal clear now.
The issue of redirecting any readers to the 'correct' link might be a good subject in its own right :-)
A polite email to the site in question may be helpful. You may want to drop a hint saying that you've received complaints from visitors about the incorrect link.
If the other site allows comments, a polite comment there may also be in order.
I had a site with over 15k broken URLs in Google and Yahoo once. Lots of fun.
