Stats widget on self-hosted blog

  1. hello

I am self-hosting a WP blog. I searched the Widget library and the forums but could not find any mention of a widget that will replicate the stats functionality that one has in the admin for wordpress.com blogs.

    Any advise would be appreciated.

This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you'll find help at the WordPress.org forums.

If you don't understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.

If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It'll help people to answer your question.

    This is an automated message.

    It's not a widget. It's a plugin. See here > http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stats/

  4. That is a plugin for self-hosted blogs and can be found at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stats/ . You will need the API key from your account here which is located in your dashboard here at users > personal settings right at the top.

  5. A duet again. I'll sing back up.

  6. @TSP
lol ... I ♥ ♫ singing ♫ duets with you. It reminds me of times gone by. :)

  7. Hey you guys (tt, tsp). You are breaking rule number 1 of wordpress.com forum club. Don't talk about...
    wordpress.org.

I am glad to see you doing so. It seems inhospitable when someone is here with what's really a wordpress.org question, said question can be quickly answered, but they are sent away to the colder climes of .org empty-handed.

  8. @Andrew
For the record I will not be providing wordpress.org answers on this That was rare - one of a kind thing.

It's my very strongly held opinion that if we become "hospitable" we will be over-run with wordpress.org bloggers posting to this forum. There are far too many that fail to read the sticky post at the head of the forum as it is now and some daus 30% of the questions we answer are posted by those who are looking for support with wordpress.org installs.
