Stickies - Order of appearing.

  1. Can anyone help me please.
I have three 'stickies' on my blog, some of which require updating weekly. I want to put them in a sequence and keep them in that order, come what may!!! Unfortunately, they keep changing their order without asking my permission. (A funny!)
Can anybody advise me as to how I can KEEP them in my chosen order, please.

The blog I need help with is dickiebo.wordpress.com.

  2. Don't forget me, guys! Thanks.

  3. Just so you know this. Sticky posts are meant for temporary use and having only one is the best way to go. Frankly, form a returning reader's POV I despise them. Also from an SEO POV it's better to place such text on a static page than it is to create sticky posts.

  4. I stand totally reprimanded and will have to have an immediate re-think!

  5. @dickiebo
I'm not reprimanding you. You may do as you wish. I'm providing feedback. As a returning reader seeking to read your most recent post consider what value there is in having to scroll through 3 sticky posts filled with blah, blah, blah every time one clicks into the front page of a blog.

My position is that sticky posts are annoying and distracting. place nothing on my front page that may annoy readers or that any search spiders every have to navigate around. Front pages showcase fresh content and my new content is smack dab on the front page where it is showcased.

  6. Thanks.

  7. You're welcome and best wishes with your blog. :)
