Sticky Posts 2014 Theme

  1. Hi there,

I'm not really sure how to explain this. I have the 2014 theme and I use a static homepage. When I make a post sticky, this appears: http://prntscr.com/31194d Is it possible to remove that whole large bit and just have the post staying sticky on the blog page?

    Cheers!

The blog I need help with is binweevilcompany.wordpress.com.

  2. WordPress.COM does not host that site. We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and not for WordPress.ORG software installs. You are posting to the wrong support forum.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate, have different log-ins and run different versions of some themes with same names. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you don't have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

  3. That site is hosted by WordPress.com

  4. Hi, I haven't heard anything back from you.

  5. re: is it possible to remove that whole large bit

I'm sorry. That's not possible without a custom design upgrade. See here for details on purchasing the annually renewable custom and CSS editing:

  6. Would I be able to send an email to WordPress requesting CSS upgrade?
I just think it makes the site look quite messy when you come on and see that big black space.
Do you think WordPress would possibly give me a CSS upgrade to remove it or possible remove it from my site for me?
I've been using WordPress for over two years and with all the previous themes I've used, I've never experienced this with sticky posts.

  7. No I don't think you will get a free upgrade for this or for any other reason. I have answered questions here for nearly 8 years and have yet to receive any free upgrades nor do I ever expect to receive any.
