Strange display, links gone

  1. As of this morning, my site has a strange display, where an article I published yesterday is showing up beside my new articles...right where the links usually go. I gave it some time, hoping it was a glitch in the system but still there.

    Any help? Thanks

The blog I need help with is eyesonbrazil.wordpress.com.

  2. This can happen if you forget to close a tag in your post.

The simplest fix is to go to the Settings / Writing tab of your dashboard and check the box that says "WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML", then Save. That will normally fix it and prevent it from happening again in future.

  3. Thanks for the suggestion

Hmm, I tried that just now after reading what you wrote and its still there. I also tried to make that particular post that is out of place into a draft to see if the problem persisted and it did, it just moved the post before that into the side bar (where the links should be).

Perhaps an admin can take a gander..

  4. The problem seems to be caused by this post:

    http://eyesonbrazil.wordpress.com/2009/02/26/aa-gol-interline-agreement/

Editing and re-saving that post will probably fix it. If not, take a look at the HTML code and you'll see mixed up < p > and < div > tags that are closed incorrectly.

  5. I think you're right on that one, now I get what you mean by not closed correctly...

    thanks, that fixed it!
