Subscriber Migration and Reblog Question

  1. Good Evening,

I recently moved my WordPress blog to a self-hosted site and I would like you to please migrate my subscribers. The website I would like you to migrate to is http://www.squishingsquashes.com.

I would also like to know why, after I imported my WordPress.com file to WordPress.org, I am unable to see the blogs that I have reblogged from other users' WordPress sites. The blog title shows up in my list of Posts, but the content does not exist.

Thank you for your help :)

The blog I need help with is squishingsquashes.wordpress.com.

  2. I would also like to know why, after I imported my WordPress.com file to WordPress.org, I am unable to see the blogs that I have reblogged from other users' WordPress sites.

Because reblogging is a WordPress.com function that is not available at WordPress.org. Your blog doesn't have that feature.

  3. Thank you for the information, raincoaster :)

  4. Hello, I am still waiting for help with migrating my subscribers to my self -hosted site. Could someone at WordPress Support please get back to me regarding this as soon as possible?

    Thank you!

  5. Staff are on hiatus till the 10th. This has been flagged for their attention and they will get around to it.

  6. Oh, I was not aware that they were on hiatus. Thank you for letting me know ;)

  7. Howdy,

I've migrated your subscribers over for you; please let me know if you have any questions.

Regarding reblogs, that's a feature that is unique to WordPress.com that doesn't have a equivalent at this time, so those posts don't export/import as expected.

Thanks for your patience during our meetup. It's the one time a year that everyone in the company is actually in the same physical space!

    Cheers!

  8. Thanks kraftbj! You are awesome!

Thank you for the info on the reblogging feature as well. Another user had responded previously and clarified that for me.

I was not aware that you were having a meetup, but you are welcome :)
Hope you enjoyed your time with your colleagues.

  9. Ok, I checked my stats page on WordPress.org and underneath the Followers heading, it says:

    0 Blog
    0 Comments

Is this where I will see my subscribers and followers for both email and from WordPress.com?

Could you please transfer my stats over as well?

    Thanks in advance!

  10. Howdy,

I'm checking into it; the counts are cached but I'd expect them to update by now. Thanks!

  11. Hi kraftbj,

I see that my wordpress.com followers are showing now, but my email followers are still not showing up. Could you please look into this for me and transfer them if they are not already transferred?

    Thank you!

  12. Howdy,

My apologies for the delay. The subscribers were moved over, but pages that we see on the front-end had an unexpected delay on updating. We've fixed your page and ran a fix for others who were migrated near the same time.

At the time of the initial transfer, there were only 31 WP.com followers and 0 e-mail followers. There weren't any e-mail-only folks to transfer.

    Thanks!

  13. Ok, thank you for clearing that up for me!

I was just confused because my WordPress.com page says "Join 64 other followers" under the email sign up box, so I thought I had some email subscribers.

  14. That number includes your followers from Publicize (e.g. Twitter, etc). Sorry for the confusion!
