Subscribers Notification List

  1. I have an offsite wordpress blog that I'm using with Comicpress to do a webcomic.

I've decided I want people to 'subscribe' in order to post comments, which isn't a problem. However, I've been hunting around for a 'notification' feature which will allow subscribers to check a box on their account page so that they can be notified when new posts are published.

I've tried the Email Notification Plugin 2.3.1, but I can't figure out how to modify it to do what I want it to. Is there another plugin out there that does this for WordPress 2+? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  2. Greets:

If you have an offsite blog than you need to be over at http://wordpress.org as that's the support site for the software.

    Good luck,

  6. I'm tried of typing it twenty times a day when folks don't read the read me first post. Trust me. You don't want to be read what goes through my mind when I see one of these. (Beginning to think delete on site my be the way to go.)

  7. I wouldn't blame you. no offense intended. I just had this mental image of waiting in line at the DMV for a few hours.... only to get - "you're in the wrong line, sir."

    Delete away!

  8. Agreed. If I have time, I usually point folks to the solution but it's been suggested to me by staff that we don't do that here since it may give the impression that we're going to do that every time. We've already had to get nasty to a pair of folks who wouldn't take the hint.
