Hi,
Whenever I receive an email to say that somebody has subscribed to my blog, they never appear in my subscriptions tab. I have received about 8 emails but only two people have ever appeared in the stats and one of those I didn't even receive an email notification about.
Why are my subscribers not appearing in the stats?
The blog I need help with is reallifefantasy.wordpress.com.
I don't know the answer to your question. Are you sure that the emails you received were for subscribers being added? I'm asking because the emails you receive could be referring to those wordpress.com bloggers who chose to click the "like" button on your posts. By default, all WordPress.com blogs display the Like controls under each post and display the gallery of Gravatars for bragging rights. This includes your site. Please read the emails carefully to determine if the latter is the case here.

Also note that your blog does NOT receive a page view merely because a subscriber was emailed the post. They must click into the site in order for a page view stat to be created.
Hi, definitely a subscribed to my blog email. Today I have had 4 emails saying that people have subscribed but none of them have appeared as an active subscriber on the subscriptions tab on the stats page.
I should also point out that some subscribers have appeared previously in the subcriptions stats after I have received the email but only 2 out of 12!
It sounds like you may need Staff help so I have flagged this thread to gain their attention.

Offhand, I think a few things could be happening.
1. The potential subscribers may not be confirming their subscription.
2. They could be immediately unsubscribing. Some people just don't know what they're getting in to when they click buttons. :)
How do you confirm your subscriptions? When I subscribe to a blog, I get an email telling me that I have subscribed and then posts are emailed to me. I don't click on anything to say that I approve.
Could be that people don't know what they're doing....but so many? :)
Ah, sorry about that, you're right. Got my subscription emails confused with something else. :)
It's still possible that they could all be unsubscribing, I've seen stranger things, but I'll ask someone to look in to this.

It looks like there's a bit of a discrepancy. The Subscriptions list in Site Stats only displays email subscriptions, not subscribers with just Jabber notifications or no notifications.
We're looking in to re-working this.
