Suddenly, after two years, I cannot upload a photo into my blog - can you help?

    When I go to upload a photograph in my blog (naturallycuriouswithmaryholland.wordpress.com) it won't upload. The bar that appears just stays on the page without giving me the page that allows me to search for an image and insert it in my blog. Please can you help me?

  2. There's an issue with creating posts on the front page of WordPress.com that will not be fixed until the next upgrade. Do not create posts here > http://wordpress.com/#!/post/

    Instead I recommend that you ONLY create posts here > Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New

    Are you using the secure HTTPS login? http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/ If not try using it please.

    Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

    If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

    If you are, please do these:
    (1) Try clearing your browser’s cache:
    http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
    Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

    (2) Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    If you aren't successful let us know which browser (and version of it) you’re using and post any error reports you get.

    Dear Thistimethisspace,
    I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to try and help me. I am desperate. I am also really a novice and a luddite – I did manage to learn how to clear my cookies today, but that didn’t help. And I did try posting the way you said, and will continue to, but that doesn’t work either. The blog was set up by my publisher, so I really am ignorant. I don’t even know if I am using the secure HTTPS login or if third party cookies are enabled. If you have the time and desire to walk me through this, and we fix the problem, I would be eternally grateful. Mary

  5. Not to worry. We can learn new things at any age and our ability to learn and remember what we learn does not diminish with age. (I'm so happy to know that as I'm aging like good wine.)

    The information be be automatically provided and all your do is copy and paste it into a forum thread. Then we will proceed from there.

Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/5.0) (Do you work for wordpress or are you doing this out of the kindness of your heart? I can't tell you what a difference you're making. I was out this evening or I would have gotten back to you sooner.

    Hi thistimethisspace,
    This morning I had to post my blog without a photograph for the first time and it really is so frustrating. I tried enabling third party cookies by, in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, going to Tools > Internet Options → Privacy → Advanced and checked “first party cookies” and “third party cookies” but I still can’t post a photo on my website. Any thoughts on what I should do next?

    This will show you how ignorant I am. I thought I would see if I was using the secure HTTPS login and so I went to the website you said to, and it said to go to "users" and then "personal settings" but I don't know where the "users" tab is. Could you possibly tell me where to find it? So sorry to be so inept.

  9. Posting from the dashboard doesn't work either. I've spent over an hour making multiple attempts to post a photo with text, then text with no photo. Nothing is working. Stop forcing us to change our browser. Make this service compatible with more browsers. This is NOT acceptable.
