Summaries on Blog Posts

  1. Hello all!

I have selected the "summary" option for my blog, but my posts are full posts when you look at my blog.

I wanted it to be summaries that you can read, and then click the post to read it in full...

Does anyone know how to do this?

    Thanks!!!

The blog I need help with is fearlessflying.wordpress.com.

  2. Hey you!

the option you selected is actually just for your rss feed.

I don't think there's an option 'per se' for that but
you can use the 'more' tag.
    it's explained tight here:

Good news. Or at least partly good news. Misty Look theme does support custom excerpts for category and archive pages at least. Make your summary as you like! The custom summaries can even include links, styling, colors and so on (no video shortcode). And that should appear in your rss feed as well!

  4. I think what you're looking for is the More tag:

  5. Thank you so much everyone!!!

I'll look through these links :)

  6. You are welcome.

You could use both methods. When you use the more tag, be sure it is on a line by itself, not between and other tags.
