Sunspot theme doesn't show up as installable theme

    I really like the Sunspot theme, but can't get it to show up in the "Install Themes" dialog. I've searched by the listed author, Langston, by Automattic, by "newest," and by the name "Sunspot" and it doesn't show up. I've tried searching by using the features and tags.
    Any suggestions? Anybody got a link to the zip file and I can download it manually?

    The blog I need help with is cookphotoworks.com.

    I am having the same issue!!!
    I saw this theme in my WordPress newsletter in the same one as the Triton Lite theme. I can find the Triton theme, but not the Sunspot theme.
    Why was it in the newsletter if I can't use it?
    Thanks for any help.

    I am an artist looking for a theme that will allow me to post photos of my work along with detail shots that are easily navigated, in page not format, not necessarily blog. I am happy to pay for a theme if it does what I want. Any suggestions?

    You need to go here: http://wordpress.ORG/support/ which is where self-hosted sites are supported.

    @dellana, see the above if your site is self-hosted. We cannot help you here at the wordpress.COM hosting service. If your site is physically hosted here at wordpress.COM, then this will apply to you:

    We cannot add themes at wordpress.COM. We are limited to the 170+ (and growing) themes found in the dashboard under appearance > themes. Themes found on the internet are for self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG.

    Themes at wordpress.COM have to be modified to work within the restrictions here and to support the unique features.

    Thanks for your response.
    My confusion comes from the Sunspot theme being written about in this Wordress.com News I received: http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2012/03/08/new-themes-sunspot-and-triton-lite/

    I just assumed that if it's posted about in there, I should be able to use it! My site Is hosted with HostGator.com - does this mean I can't use the Sunpot theme?
    Would you be able to guide me to a premium theme company that might have something comparable to Sunspot?

    What is available on wordpress.com for themes does not equate to what is available for self-hosted sites. There are some themes that are only available here.

    Sunspot was created by AutoMATTIc for wordpress.com and it may or may not be made available for self-hosted wordpress.ORG blogs at some point.

    That newsletter is WordPress.COM specific. I suggest you unsubscribe.

    Just to clarify, Sunspot is currently only available for blogs hosted on WordPress.com. We have plans to submit it to the WordPress.org free themes directory. I can't give a specific date, but it should be available to download from the directory within a few weeks.

    One of the guys on wordpress.org got us up and running with it. That is one beautiful theme. Your color scheme is brilliant, and the layout is very readable.
    I was hoping to run into you on the forums & get a chance to tell you how much I'm impressed by your design skills.
