Unfortunately, with the demise of Meebo, we do not currently have any chat widgets/support available for use on WordPress.com, but you can certainly request chatroll in the Ideas forum.
ok thank you
i just opened a new request for help because on the chatroll website they say to ask help for a shortcode in order to make this chat room embedded directly on my blog
Could you help me?
Thx
Fred
Because of the shared environment we have on WordPress.com, there are code restrictions in place to protect us from potentially bad code. You can read about that here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
Can you point us to a place where the code appears or can you paste it here between backticks? (You can usually find them to the left of the number 1 on the English keyboard.) That way we can see if it's possible to use it or convert it to something else that will work on WordPress.com.
That request was previously made by Chatroll to WordPress.com Staff and was denied.
You can still link to your Chatroll by including a link to the site in a text widget. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/ Or by creating a custom menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ and adding the Chatroll link as a custom link. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-links
Two years have come and gone since then, but if they're still using the iframe, then, as tt said, it's a no-go.
