Table formatting changed despite using the exact same code

  1. I use tables to post the results of election polling. I am not well versed at coding so when I create something simple that works, I cut and paste it over and over again when I want to use that table.

    For some reason, starting last night both the style, format and centering of the table disappeared. And the exact "cut and paste" code from one older post to a newer post is dramatically different.

    Here is what the tables used to look like:

    Here is what the tables look like now:
    http://battlegroundwatch.com/2012/10/11/obama-2-in-colorado-gravis-marketing/

    And when I played with the centering, they look like this:
    http://battlegroundwatch.com/2012/10/11/obama-2-in-nevada-suffolk-universityksnv/

    I really just want the use the original tables in newer posts but clearly something has happened. And I haven't the first clue what that is.

    Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advanace.

  2. Howdy,

    The HTML code of the tables in "Obama +1 in Nevada (pre-Debate) -- Gravis Marketing" look like this:

    <table border="">
    <tbody>
    <tr>
    <th>For President</th>
    <th>Percent</th>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td style="text-align: center;">Barack Obama</td>
    <td style="text-align: center;">48.9</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td style="text-align: center;">Mitt Romney</td>
    <td style="text-align: center;">47.8</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td style="text-align: center;">Undecided</td>
    <td style="text-align: center;">3.3</td>
    </tr>
    </tbody>
    </table>

    In the second post ("Obama +2 in Michigan -- Gravis Marketing"), they look like this:

    <table style="margin:auto;">
    <tbody>
    <tr>
    <th style="text-align:center;">Candidate</th>
    <th>Percent</th>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td>Barack Obama</td>
    <td style="text-align:center;">46.0</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td style="text-align:center;">Mitt Romney</td>
    <td style="text-align:center;">44.4</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td style="text-align:center;">Other/Undecided</td>
    <td style="text-align:center;">10</td>
    </tr>
    </tbody>
    </table>

    My best suggestion is to copy the HTML code of the first table, save it as a draft of a post, then use Copy a Post to copy the basic format of the post.
