Table formatting issues

  1. I'm relatively new to wordpress - and I've read through most of the forum posts about tables and the issues with CSS styling in the various themes that effects the visual presentation of the tables - but I couldn't find the issue I'm having.

    I'm using the Fresh & Clean theme and I'm trying to get the image and the text to top align - but the theme seems to be pushing the content in the left column down no matter what I do. I don't care about cell borders and visually I'm happy with what the theme is doing -- if the content would just align symmetrically.

    I would really appreciate any tips
    Thanks!

    The blog I need help with is glendraketoolworks.wordpress.com.

  2. This should do it:
    <td style="vertical-align:top;">

    or middle
    or bottom

  3. Sweet! It works.

    Thanks so much.

  4. You are welcome. It looks very professional.

  5. Thanks! That's the goal.

    I'm having a new browser related issue -- same page. I fixed the code and it works great in Firefox on a mac/pc but in Safari on a mac/pc the image is displayed at something like 3px x 3px. Is this just a standard browser problem that we can't work around or is there a code fix for this?

    see this page: http://glendraketoolworks.wordpress.com/products/

    Again, thanks for your help.

  6. For a quick fix, replace this:
    <table width="100%">

    with this:

    <table>
    <col style="width:45%;" /><col style="width:55%;" />
