I've just started a new blog with two posts so far. I went to Appearance --> Widgets --> drag Tag Cloud to sidebar. The Tag Cloud heading shows up on the blog, but the actual tag cloud does not, through there are several tags at the bottom of each post. When I saw this, I tried removing the Tag Cloud widget, saving and then adding it again, but the cloud still didn't appear. Help please? Thank you!

My guess is that it probably won't until you have a number of Posts besides the two you have now.
Whatever you do, do NOT add a lot of tags or categories to each post, as this may get you banned from the WP Global Tags pages.
You've assigned categories to your posts, not tags. So you need to add the Categories widget, or the Category Cloud widget, not the Tag Cloud widget.
