New WP blogger here. I just did a search at technorati.com to see whether pings were working. The article from my blog I expected did indeed return, but the title was screwy.
My article is entitled "Stem Cells, Ageing and the Quest of Immortality," but the Technorati hit looks like this:

So for some reason, Technorati is reading "Permalink" as the title of the entry.
I did another search -- it's true of all of my articles. They all show up with the title "Permalink."
Is there a way to fix this? By "fix" I don't mean having someone say it's Technorati's fault, which I wouldn't buy because the rest of the world seems to be able to get their titles in just fine -- I am guessing that there's a simple way to get the correct title sent in the ping.
I look forward to seeing this issue resolved.
Cheers all
