text beyond right margin - right columns

1. How can this text be kept from going beyond the right margin?
http://nina80.wordpress.com/officers/

How do I set up the right columns like this website?
http://sostoastmasters.wordpress.com/
In particular the heading "member resources", then the 1st line to download a membership application.
I have the application pdf and other materials on computer.

Where do I find my "favorites" that have been saved on forums/support?

Thanks

The blog I need help with is nina80.wordpress.com.

2. Have you messed with the CSS at all? I see nothing in the page source code that would cause that.

As far as the sidebar, you simply add in the widgets that you desire to have in the sidebar by dragging and dropping them at appearance > widgets.

3. No, I have not used css and don't know how to use it.
I pasted the text in the box, and then edited it quite a bit.

4. Where did you paste it in from?

5. Perhaps some of the html at the start is the cause of it?
If so, I don't need any of that anyway and will remove the excess.

<div id="wpcombar" style="z-index:1001;"><!--,en--></div><br /> <div id="page"><br /> <div id="content"><br /> <div id="post-87">

6. Are we working on nina80 or on sostoastmasters?

7. We are working on nina80.
I pasted text from sos -- to nina80 -- then edited.

Apparently the problem is the html, which I can easily correct.

I will check on the widgets and report back later.

Thanks. :)

8. Yep, the code below was the issue.
I removed it completely and all is well with the margins.
<div id="wpcombar" style="z-index:1001;"><!--,en--></div>
<div id="page">
<div id="content">
<div id="post-87">
I'll report back later on the widgets.

9. Where was that code at sos?

10. It was on their duties page.
http://sostoastmasters.wordpress.com/the-real-comments/

After copying and pasting the page, the code shows up when switching from visual to html.

I have removed all the excess code and now the margins are fine.

11. I for the life of me cannot figure why they would have put that into the pages.

Did you copy the stuff directly from the blog page?

12. Yes I just copied the text, and pasted it into the edit page.

I don't know why they put it there either.

13. It isn't actually in there in the source code, but anytime you copy and paste something from a web page, use the "paste as plain text" icon in the lower tool bar which will strip out all the code that can mess things up, such as happened in this case.

14. I got it woo hoo!

The stickler was realizing I could paste text and links into the widget.

> appearance > widgets
> move text widget to the right
> rename widget to any name that you want
> click right side of bar and wait for bar to open
> type any text or paste any link in the space
> html is very helpful with this
> click save
> click close (optional)

Thanks again for your very helpful responses. :)

15. You're welcome.
