Text Color

  1. It seems to be defalt set as gray, how do I change it to black?

    The blog I need help with is wrestlingrambles.com.

  2. Is this a CSS editing question about a blog you purchased a custom design upgrade for?

  3. yes

  4. CSS is different for each theme. Can you please always include a link to your site when asking CSS questions or at least mention the theme name?

    To change the base body text color to black in the iTheme2 theme, try this:

    body, button, input, select, textarea {
    color: black;
    }

    Note that if there are additional rules in the theme stylesheet or your custom CSS already which have changed font colors for other elements, those may need to be adjusted separately.

  5. Maybe someone can give me a simple solution here? This CSS is killing me.

    My site is angrywhodat.wordpress.com

    All I want to do is turn all that ugly orange and green stuff to a shade of gold (same one across the board)

    I've tried isolating the bits with those colors and editing them into the stylesheet, but I'm afraid I'm not pulling out the right sections. I'm a pretty good html amateur but CSS is like a whole new language :(

  6. @angrywhodat
    All CSS editing in themes specific. You are using the Freshy theme and this is an itheme 2 thread. Please click this link and create your own thread > http://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform

  7. Ok sorry I didn't know the etiquette with themes. Will do.

  8. Not to worry and thanks for your cooperation. :)

  9. See http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/freshy-theme-text-colors-and-line-spacing?replies=4#post-856182 for the answer to the question about changing some of the font colors in the Freshy theme.

  10. How do I set the Column title to black? It's coming out grey!

  11. Do you mean the post titles at http://wrestlingrambles.com/ ? You can change post titles on the home page in the iTheme2 theme by adding this to your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS page:

    .entry-title a {
        color: black;
    }
  12. I want to change the font color from Red to Yellow in the body of the page through out.
    http://palaprecision.com/ I have purchased the custom design so I can do that know it seems impossible. I am using the Greyzed theme. Can anyone help??

  13. @palaprecision
    All CSS editing is theme specific. Will you please start your own Greyzed thread as this theread is on itheme2 ? here's the link > http://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform

  14. Thank you

  15. Thank you too :)

  16. I want to know if the only way to have ability to use different colors of print is to upgrade? My website is hometogo232.wordpress.com

    If you are expecting to be able to click a button and change fonts throughout your blog then it’s not that easily done.

    These are 3 ways to change fonts on wordpress.com blogs.

    (1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the HTML editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/

    (2) Changing font colors in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page using the #4 icon (Select text color – change the text color) in Row 2 the Visual editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2

    (3) Changing all font families, colors and sizes throughout the whole blog by purchasing an annually renewable Custom Design upgrade and using Typekit Fonts with Staff support. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/

    Note: A few themes do provide for changing font color in the Blog Title and/or optional Tagline and/or links. In the majority of themes font changes to font families, colors and size in the blog title, tagline, menu, post titles, page titles, categories and tags, widget headings, comments, and links cannot be done without CSS editing.
