I'm using photos from freedigitalphotos.net, which requires blogs to use a credit that includes a text-based link to the photographer's freedigitalphotos page. I can't seem to get WP.com to do that. I insert the HTML code in the captions box, and the text is linked--but then when I save the post, the text is still there but it's no longer linked. I've tried going in from the html side but nothing seems to work.
Suggestions??

The captions box on images here are not HTML activated. You will have to place the image credit under or near the image in the text area of the blogging column.
Hmmm...is there some way to shrink the size of the text? I can't seem to make it smaller than the rest of the blog post text.

You can do a bit of formatting of captions if you are not afraid of looking at the html editor including adding credit to the photographer:

I'm not positive that this works with images you have not uploaded to your image library on wp.com
