The Day We Fight Back! banner on WordPress.com

  1. February 11, 2014 has been designated as "The Day We Fight Back," opposing NSA surveillance and in support of the USA Freedom Act.

    WordPress.com has joined this day of protest. To allow our users to participate, we have added a new banner that you can display at the bottom of your website.

    You can enable your banner by going to your blog's Dashboard and finding the option "Protest NSA Surveillance" under your blog's Settings:

    Once you're on that page, all you need to do is click the box "Protest Enabled?" and click on the button to save changes, and you'll be all set!

    You can also display a larger banner by adding the Internet Defense League widget to your site (Appearance > Widgets). Choose "all current and future campaigns" and "banner at the top of my site" in the drop down options:

    To disable the larger banner, simply remove the widget.
