I am using the "more..." Tab to cut the document down, but when I do this on returning to my home page I cannot see the picture - the picture I want displayed. I am using the "more.." tab underneath the picture, so I don't understand why it's been cut out. I'm certain I am doing something wrong. Little help?

Have you set the image you want to be shown as "Featured image" in Edit Post? Here's the doc page http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image.
