   Hi people

   I am wondering, I do NOT want to sound money-hungry, but I did some research, and found these 2 for example.

   http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/are-adfly-or-other-shortened-links-allowed

   Apparently on that link, the use of adf.ly is allowed, and what matters is the FINAL destination, as long as it is safe.

   Where as http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/can-i-use-ad-service-in-my-wpcom-blog-like-adflykonterainfolinks-etc

   Says that adfly is absolutely not allowed.

   Just wondering, adfly always tells its users to post it in forums, blogs, facebook etc. Now facebook has banned adfly. most forums dont allow adfly. If blogs such as wordpress dont allow it, what can one do with adfly?

   There is only one advertising program called WordAds http://en.wordpress.com/apply-for-wordads/

   If you do require an ecommerce site, advertising and/or affiliate links you can hire a web host and get a free software install from http://wordpress.org Refer to > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

   So, I take it that adfly is a third party link or affiliate link.....meaning I cannot use it..?

   Hmmm, there are really really few forums that allow adfly

   Facebook banned adfly.

   Youtube also

   Adfly is an ad link, and you can't use it.

   As raincoaster posted. Usage of Adfly would be in violation of our advertising policy.
