How do you take the meta widget off. It is literally stuck to the side. IDK what to do with this.

I don't see any meta widget in your sidebar. The meta widget is the one that contains:
Meta
* Site Admin
* Log out
* Entries RSS
* Comments RSS
* WordPress.com
In any case, it should disable by editing its settings in the Widgets control panel page.
