theme name showing on my blog. how to delete?

  1. My "modest" theme doesn't show on my home page on the computer, but DOES on top when accessed by ipad or iPhone. I have gone into settings and deleted it, then replaced it with my logo after resized as specified. Still showing. Please help!!!!

The blog I need help with is jaxtyghem.wordpress.com.

  2. Short answer - you can't.

    Longer answer:

May I remove credit links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com’, theme, font, or toolbar links?
All WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide the footer credits or the toolbar with CSS after purchasing a Custom Design upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions

  3. but this doesn't show on my computer page AND there is an option in the settings to delete it. If I wasn't able to, I would think they wouldn't give us an option to.

  4. AND there is an option in the settings to delete it

This is the WordPress.com support forum.
My response applies to this blog http://jaxtyghem.wordpress.com/
There is no such option in free hosted WordPress.com blogs.
Exactly which blog starting with http:// are you referring to?
If you are referring to a WordPress>ORG install then you are posting to the wrong support forum and ought to be posting to http://wordpress.org/support/

  5. I appologize. I was directed here through Support. It is not a free hosted blog. Thank you :)

  6. You're welcome.
