I'm trying to develop a fundraising site using paypal using wordpress.com. However, I cannot find anyway to add custom, 3rd party widgets to the blog. In Particular, I want to install a paypal donation counter widget. As far as I can tell, wordpress.com does not allow this - it has only a small selection of widgets which can be added. Please assist.

I don't think wordpress.com allows adding plugins. This is similar to what I wanted to add to my site. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a donation plugin yet.
I would love to see wordpress.com add a widget like this. I too have been searching for a way to have something like this on a wordpress.com site without having to host my own site and use wordpress.org.
