With the preview on 'The Morning After' theme, it showed thumbnails of pictures by the recent posts. I was wondering how I could do that.

Hi. For posts to appear with thumbnails in The Morning After, they must be set as "sticky posts" and contain a featured image. Details here:

And if you are seeing thumbnails in the recent posts widget, it is a self-hosted installation of the theme, not the one here at wordpress.com
