Time zones

  • Does wordpress take account of different timezones or does it think that the USA is the only country on this planet; the reason being that if I schedule a post for. let’s say 6 am CEST or 5 am BST, will your servers think that I mean 6 am American time (EST?, I’m not sure and not inclined to find out)? It’s a small ‘smelly cheese’ kind of Europen grudge.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • The default timezone is UTC time. You can reset your timezone here > Settings > General Select the closest city to you in the same timezone in the drop-down menu you see there and then click “save changes”.

Note scheduled post publication is triggered the first visitor clicking into your blog after your post was scheduled. It will still state that it was posted on the time and date that you specified, but it will not actually go up until someone visits your site. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/schedule-a-post/
