tiny avatar - how to make it bigger

  1. The avatars for comments are tiny.

Can they be made bigger with this theme?

The blog I need help with is ninatoastmasters.wordpress.com.

  2. Which theme, which blog? You have several blogs here.

  3. Whoops sorry, thought it had changed. What happened was I selected http://ninatoastmasters.wordpress.com/ when I posted the question but then it didn't show up. WordPress should show what they ask for.

  4. Some people don't want their blog addresses shown in the posts on the forums, so if wordpress automatically posted it, some people would throw a fit.

How large the avatars are shown in comments is theme specific. It can be changed with the paid CSS upgrade and some knowledge of CSS, but not otherwise. In that theme, there would likely have to be a number of other adjustments as well or it would look bad with larger avatars as it would throw off the design and spacing on the comments.

  5. Right, which makes it redundant that they ask for the address.

Thanks for your answer on the avatars.

@johnlvs2run: They ask for the address so that the (oh-so-frequent) wrong visits from non-wp.COM members can be automatically detected and greeted with the sambauers auto-response.

  7. AND so we can be sure we're talking about the correct blog. I can't begin to list the number of times I've been advising someone about the blog linked to their name when SUDDENLY they say "oh, not that one, this other one!"

Oh I see. I wondered how "Sam" picked up on those.

@rain: It's a drop down window at the beginning of the post, not in the link with the nickname.
