Title of Blog Exists, But Won't Show Up in RSS Feed

    Hello all. I'm having a bit of trouble resolving this issue and am hoping someone can help me.

    I've set up my blog so that it has an official title in the settlings, but is functionally expressed by a banner jpg on top of the blog itself. Even though the title appears find in the window tab, it doesn't appear when I subscribe to it using a Google Reader RSS feed.

    I'd have thought that the title setting applies to both. Is there a way to resolve this issue?

    The blog I need help with is the-sieve.com.

    I don't know if this will answer your question or not. If you remove the Blog Tile from here > Settings > General then know that is where the search spiders expect to find it and if they don't there could be problems with getting your content indexed. Search spiders and crawlers cannot "read" any text in images. Only humans can read it.

    Also exactly which blog are you referring to? Please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question.

    Yeah, I thought I resolved that problem by giving the blog a title and then selecting the option to make it invisible on the page itself. The title showed up in the window tab just fine, so I figured spiders could find it.

    To be specific, I removed the text of the title from the page itself by clicking "No" in the "Display Text" option Appearance > Header

    That should have worked properly. The RSS feed does validate and I do see the Blog Tile http://the-sieve.com/feed/ Sorry, but I have no help to offer.

    Huh. Thanks anyway.

    Does it help if I mention that Google Reader tells me the title is "(title unknown)"?
