Where do I go on my blog to change the pricing plan to free? I think I clicked on $18 a year instead of free by mistake.

See here > Store > My Upgrades

If you actually purchased anything there will be an entry there. -
So which one is the free plan? When you go to the sign-up page where is says blog address in the box and then it said wordpress.com and then it says $0 and it has little down arrow. When you click on the arrow it then says .com/$18, .net/18, .org/$18. I don't see that from the directions that you gave me?

This is your free blog http://lyndonblog.wordpress.com/ that is being free hosted by WordPress.com.
If you wish you can purchase a domain name through a domain mapping upgrade for it.

So wordpress has done everything for me? What is an example of a good tag for a soccer blog?

If you think that Categories or Tags are assigned to blogs you are wrong. They can only be assigned to posts.

Search engines pay more attention to your keywords in your content than they do to your keywords in Tags/Categories. They can also detect if the keywords in Categories and/or Tags is actuall found in the text in any post. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/03/01/revisiting-keywords-and-tags/ -
